Posted
Bill Swick, a music teacher at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, received the prestigious Music Educator Award by the Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Foundation on April 8.

GRAMMY Foundation representatives presented Swick with a $1,000 honorarium and a matching grant for the school. He was one of ten finalists to receive the award out of 4500 nominations from across the country.

The Music Educator Award was established in 2013 to recognize educators who have made a significant and lasting contribution to the field of music education. Las Vegas Academy currently has 12 GRAMMY Awards for its music programs, the most of any high school in the nation.
