Some Las Vegas lights are taking on a new look and going gold to support kids with cancer.
Starting Thursday, the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, Fremont Street Experience canopy, High Roller and other local landmarks turned gold.
It is part of the CandleLighters' Shine Gold Initiative.
The goal of this effort is to raise awareness about the needs and challenges that face children with cancer and their families.
