Las Vegas honors fallen officer with street name

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Erik Lloyd, who died last year from COVID-19, was honored on Wednesday by the Las Vegas City Council.

The city council approved a measure to rename part of Teepee Lane in honor of Lloyd.

Lloyd served on the force for nearly 30 years and led the Injured Police Officers Fund.

The street is in the northwest valley and intersects with Lone Mountain Road.
