Las Vegas Fire Station 103 officially re-opened its doors on Saturday.
The station is located near Jones Boulevard and U.S. Highway 95.
Neighbors celebrated with an open house filled with music, bounce houses, and face painting.
"For us to be able to get back a full-service fire station, fully equipped fully staffed, to an area that needed it so desperately is a great thing. I'm very happy," said Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian.
Fire Station 103 was previously known as Fire Station 6 and has been in the same spot since the 1960s.
