Victory Outreach Summerlin and the Bolden Area Command of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have teamed up for the I Love My City March on April 2.
The march will begin at noon at Lake Mead and Decatur Boulevard. It will end at Jones Boulevard. The march will then be followed by a block party at 6140 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
The purpose of the event is to raise the community's awareness about what can be done to combat crime.
Crime is currently at an all-time high, according to LVMPD.
Victory Outreach is a ministry that is used to dealing with gangs, drug addicts, murderers, prostitutes and other criminals.
The block part will feature food, vendors, music, carnival games, and a puppet show.
The event is free to residents of the area.
