Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada delivered cases of Girl Scout cookies to Las Vegas police officers Wednesday.
They wanted to thank the officers for their service. Thin Mint, Caramel deLites and other signature Girl Scout cookies were brought to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters and area command stations.
Sheriff Joe Lombardo accepted the cookies at LVMPD Headquarters, and along with Commissioner Lawrence Weekly, helped the girls bring in the cookies for the officers.
Later the Girl Scouts delivered additional cases of cookies and toured two LVMPD area command stations, learning about the command stations and meeting female officers.
Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada was expected to deliver cookies to the remaining seven area command stations Thursday.
