AdvisorSmith, a leading information resource for business advice and original research, released a new study that found Henderson was ranked as the #2 safest large city.
The study examined data from 3,107 cities and based each city's safety ranking upon its crime score. They examined crime rates in each municipality for violent and property crimes to create a proprietary crime score.
The numbers categorized the data by city size in order to find the top 10 safest small, midsize, and large cities.
Some interesting data we found for Henderson is:
- Henderson ranked as the #2 safest large city in our study, beating out Las Vegas (#26).
- Henderson's violent crime rate was 1.9 per 1000 residents, and the city had a total crime score of 41.5.
- Among the top 25 large cities, 13 were in Western states (AZ, CA, CO, NV)
