The Henderson City Council is expected to proclaim Nov. 20 as Hailey Dawson Day.
The day will honor the 8-year-old Henderson resident who threw pitches at all 30 MLB stadiums with her robotic hand.
The hand was designed by engineering students at UNLV.
Hailey was born with Poland Syndrome that caused the fingers on her right hand to be underdeveloped. While she has been traveling around North America, she has been educating others about Poland Syndrome.
