LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Big changes are coming to the ski and snowboard resort near Las Vegas.
Lee Canyon says it is building a new 10,000-square-foot Hillside Lodge set to open in December 2019.
The space will have an outdoor heated terrace, patio dining spaces, a ski in ski out bar, a bistro with new food and beverage options, expanded restroom facilities and a renovation for their Bighorn Grill.
Lee Canyon says this is its biggest undertaking since the ski area first opened in 1964.
Preparations for construction are underway. The lodge will not be open for its regular summer operations.
Hikers will still be able to park at Lee Canyon and access the Bristlecone Trail from the upper parking lot.
