After throwing the first pitch in an MLB game, 6-year-old Hailey Dawson got to do the same at an UNLV Rebels game Sunday.
Dawson was born with Poland syndrome, which causes underdeveloped pectoral muscles and has affected the growth of her right hand. Engineering students at UNLV were able to make her a prosthetic hand using a 3-D printer.
Last summer, Dawson threw the first pitch in an Oakland A's-Baltimore Orioles game.
Her parents hope she can be a role model and inspire others with Poland syndrome.
