LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada wanted to thank the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and local nonprofits for their service to the community.
The group did so with cookies on Wednesday.
They donated 3600 boxes of their famous cookies to 11 command centers, including the LVMPD headquarters.
The donation was made possible through the Girl Scouts' Gift of Caring - a nationwide program they began during their 2019 cookie sales that allowed the group to donate cookies to approved nonprofit partners.
Cookie donations were also made to The Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth and The Shade Tree.
