The popular Freed's Bakery is expanding to northwest Las Vegas this fall with a shop focused on desserts.
Freed's Dessert Shop is set to open at 6475 N. Decatur Blvd., near the northern 215 beltway.
The bakery and subject of Food Network’s hit show, “Vegas Cakes,” will commemorate the occasion with a grand opening celebration from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6. The celebration will be open to the public and include giveaways, promotions, free cupcakes and family entertainment.
The grand opening of Freed’s Dessert Shop will also celebrate the bakery’s 59th anniversary.
The 1,160-square-foot Freed’s Dessert Shop will offer an array of pastries, cookies, cake slices, 7-inch round cakes and sheet cakes. Signature creations include Freed’s strawberry shortcake, cannoli and Parisian cake.
Custom orders, including wedding cakes, birthday cakes and more, will be facilitated by the company’s 8,500-square-foot full-service flagship, Freed’s Bakery, located at 9815 S. Eastern Ave.
