The Foundation for Positively Kids is thrilled to announce a partnership with Las Vegas’ very own “Legendary Diva and Queen of the Strip”, Frank Marino, to bring awareness to southern Nevada on the possible trauma experienced by children who live in a home where someone is suffering from substance use disorder.
Frank Marino will be the voice and face of Positively Kids’ Opioid Behavioral Health Program.
Marino will participate in local television PSAs, billboards, and special events on behalf of Positively Kids.
“Positively Kids is so thrilled to have Frank Marino partnering with us on this very important message” stated Fred Schultz, CEO of Positively Kids. “Nevada has one of the highest opioid use rates in the country. Many of our children are suffering emotional trauma because of it, and the pandemic is making the situation worse. Children are depressed, experience anxiety, and even committing suicide at an alarming rate.”
“I’m greatly honored to partner with such a great charity like Positively Kids. I intend to use my celebrity resources to help raise awareness to the growing problem of opioid addiction and how it is directly affecting children right here in Southern Nevada.”
Positively Kids’ Opioid Campaign is supported by a three-year grant awarded by the Department of Justice in 2018.
