Emergency medical services personnel were able to receive a blessing at St. Rose Dominican Hospital's San Martin campus Tuesday.
Personnel were invited to the campus for the second annual blessing on the feast of St. Michael, who is the patron saint of all those who defend the community.
"I can speak on behalf of my brothers and sisters in EMS and fire that we do this job because we love it and patient care is number one," said Jenna Lamperti. "So it's nice to feel like someone else is watching our backs while we're taking care of everyone else."
The hands of emergency personnel and their rigs were all blessed.
The blessing was open to all faiths.
