Nevada's first elementary school for gifted children is now open in Henderson.
Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen and other community leaders attended a dedication ceremony at the school on Wednesday.
Administrators say the school uses a collaborative hands-on approach to keep students engaged.
It is located near Green Valley Parkway and Sunset Road.
