The final day to register for Clark County School District's (CCSD) second summer school session is June 30, from 7:30 a.m.-noon.
The second summer session will run from July 5-22. Registration must be processed at the site where the student wishes to take the classes.
The designated school sites are:
Bonanza High School – 6665 Del Rey Ave., Las Vegas
Boulder City High School – 1101 Fifth St., Boulder City
Chaparral High School – 3850 Annie Oakley Drive, Las Vegas
Coronado High School – 1001 Coronado Center Drive, Henderson
Foothill High School – 800 College Drive, Henderson
Las Vegas High School – 6500 E. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas
Mojave High School – 5302 Goldfield St., North Las Vegas
Palo Verde High School – 333 Pavilion Center Drive, Las Vegas
Rancho High School – 1900 Searles Ave., Las Vegas
Shadow Ridge High School – 5050 Brent Lane, Las Vegas
Sierra Vista High School – 8100 W. Robindale Road, Las Vegas
Western High School – 4601 W. Bonanza Road, Las Vegas
The designated high school sites are also open to middle school students who wish to recover credits for the following courses: English 6, 7, 8; mathematics 6, 7; pre-algebra 8; science 6, 7, 8; world geography 8; and U.S./Nevada history 7.
Summer school is a great opportunity for students to recover credits to graduate in August or improve grades for more scholarship opportunities.
A summer school session runs 14 days long but if successful, students earn credits for an 18-week semester. Students are also able to earn certification for driver education at three sites: Bonanza, Coronado and Shadow Ridge high schools.
The cost to attend is $100 per half credit and no checks or credit cards will be accepted during the walk-in registration.
Payment may be made by cash or money order payable to CCSD Secondary Summer School. Openings in classes may be limited or closed.
