Mayor Carolyn Goodman presented the 2018 Mayor's Urban Design awards, recognizing the projects that have made Las Vegas a more beautiful and sustainable place to live.
Several awards were handed out, including The Plaza Las Vegas getting the top prize for public art. The murals can be seen around downtown as they're on every side of the building.
The retro Starbucks downtown and the RMC and M Law Building received awards for their architectural design.
Meanwhile, the award for historic preservation and adaptive reuse goes to Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum the Golden Gate hotel-casino.
For public places, the Las Vegas Community Healing Garden built after 1 October was honored.
The mayor's award for building and environment went to Henriksen/Butler.
