A 12-year-old held an art festival Saturday to benefit a rare disorder that his mother has.
Jace Ricciuti held the event downtown for chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, also known as CIDP.
"Basically it's a nerve disease," he said. "So your antibodies attack your nerves and they eat away."
Ricciuti also created a foundation named after his battle cry, "CIDP will not win." The foundation raises funds for treatment and research efforts.
