You can still celebrate Shark Week in the desert

It’s Shark Week and we may not have an ocean nearby but you can still celebrate in Las Vegas.
 

The POOL at The LINQ is transforming into a shark-themed retreat where guests can shirk their responsibilities and enjoy shark-tastic poolside programming, drink specials, shark swag, and more.

Featured cocktails will include Blood in the Water (Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Blue Curacao, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Grenadine), Shark Bait (Sauza Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, Fresh Squeezed Watermelon Juice, Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice, House Made Simple Syrup), and Great White (Absolut Vodka, MTN Dew Ice, Splash of House Squeezed Lemonade, Grenadine Float).

There will also be a "jaw-dropping" social media giveaway that includes a cabana for a day. The rules can be found on The LINQ’s social media accounts.

Nacho Daddy Summerlin is hosting the 30th anniversary of Shark Week by hosting viewing parties begging at 5 p.m. daily July 22 through 29. For $30, guests can devour the Shark Attack Nacho (housemate blue corn chips with butter-poached crab and lobster) with choice of a Shark Beer or the Blood in the Water cocktail (rum, blue curaçao and sweet and sour. This fun event is at Nacho Daddy Summerlin only.

Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant will offer the Shark Attack cocktail during shark week. It is made with Captain Morgan, Malibu, pineapple juice, blue curaçao and lime juice.

Cabo Wabo Cantina in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood will offer a 50-ounce cocktail named the Shark Tank. It is made with a vibrant mix of Absolut Lime vodka, Blue Curacao liqueur, sweet and sour and ginger ale, served in a souvenir glass.

 The first to reach the bottom of the “tank” will be treated to a gummy shark—that is, if you can make it past the skeletons, that might have swum a little too close. If you’re not afraid of a little blood, shoot back the cherry bomb shot, made with grenadine and vodka, right from a shark’s mouth.

Bonefish Grill will offer several offer “shark bites” during their all day hand-crafter Happy Hour July 22 through July 26. Shark Bites include Crispy Cod Sliders, Wagyu Beef Sliders, Artichoke Fritto, Mussels Josephine and Crispy Calamari priced at $6 each. And, everyone’s favorite winter cocktail is also available as a mid-summer treat. The Winter Great White Cosmo is available for 5 days only. Hurry in before it swims away!

Freed's Bakery is offering special cupcakes for Shark Week. Their signature vanilla cupcakes are filled with a bright red strawberry puree and topped with an ocean blue cream cheese frosting and garnished with a fondant grey shark fin. 

Wynn Nightlife is honoring Discovery Channel’s famed annual television event, "Shark Week," with five days of killer fun this July. Dive deep into Shark Swim-themed events with sets by Wynn Nightlife Residents The Chainsmokers, Diplo, Dillon Francis, Virgil Abloh, Marshmello and more. Shark Swim is set for July 23-30, and each event features giveaways, shark-themed décor and plenty of party fun.

Fizz Drinks (two locations) is celebrating Shark Week with shark-themed coloring activities and classic board games and three shark-themed drinks: Sharks in the Water, Shark Attack and Sharknado. In addition, customers who purchase shark drinks will have the change to win a shark-themed gift basket.
