Here is a list of some of the food holidays in the month of December and offerings at local restaurants and bars:
DEC. 30 -- NATIONAL BACON DAY
Hooters Restaurant & Saloon inside the OYO Hotel & Casino is celebrating National Bacon Day by offering lots-a-tots made with tater totos, bacon, cheese, sour cream and green onions for $9.49 or the Twisted Texas Melt made with a half-pound beef patty with caramelized onions, bacon and cheddar cheese, fully loaded with a layer of Daytona Beach sauce and served on Texas toast ($13.99). Or, head to Steak 'n Shake for their sausage or bacon egg 'n cheese biscuit from 6 to 11 a.m., bacon cheese fries between 11 a.m. and midnight, and their Wester BBQ 'n Bacon Steakburger between 11 a.m. and midnight. The Underground Lounge will be offering Jim Bean Swiss Stuffed Bacon Sliders for $14.
The Hangover Cure burger at Americano inside Caesars Palace is made with 2 burger patties, applewood smoked bacon, grilled heirloom tomatoes, two eggs any style, and cheddar cheese. Served open-faced on griddled charcoal brioche ($29).
Start the day with Overstuffed Bacon & Eggs on Dec. 30 at The Hamptons. Other menu items featuring bacon include the BLT&E and Little havana Cubano, which are both available for Happy Hour.

DEC. 4 -- NATIONAL COOKIE DAY
Ri Ra Las Vegas inside The Shoppes at Mandalay bay is celebrating National Cookie Day by offering its Oreo Cookie Trio. The dessert is made with triple chocolate chunk cookies filled with Oreo cheesecake filling ($9).
Nestle Toll House Cafe inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood has a wide variety of mouthwatering cookies to choose from, including the original gooey chocolate chip cookie to cookie cups filled with icing ($3.25).
Doughp inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood is celebrating National Cookie Day with their numerous cookie dough options, one of which is the Ride or Die classic chocolate chip cookie dough ($8).
Dig into the Zookie at PBR Rock Bar at Planet Hollywood on National Cookie Day - a hot, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, served in an iron skillet, priced at $9.95.
New at Miracle Mile Shops, Cocolini offers rich flavors of creamy gelato like the Italian Cookie gelato, priced at $6.25 for National Cookie Day.
Kitchen Table Squared is inviting everyone to celebrate National Cookie Day with their Cookie Monster Milkshake ($8) made with Cookie Crisp cereal. Make it boozy for an additional $3.
Double Tree by Hilton is celebrating National Cookie Day with free chocolate chip cookies at all of their properties across the U.S. Anyone who stops by one of their hotels can get a free cookie.
DEC. 6 -- NATIONAL BARTENDER DAY
Terraza at Cafe Americano is spotlighting its bartenders on National Bartender Day. Enjoy $5 Bud Light? Drafts, $5 house shots, $8 margaritas, $8 Moscow mules, $10 frozen drinks, and $8 small bites during happy hour served Monday-Friday from 2-6 p.m.
Stop by Mercato Della Pescheria at the Venetian hotel-casino on National Bartender Day to meet their talented mixologists and enjoy their Happy Hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Italian wines, martinis and Italian-inspired cocktails for $7 each.
DEC. 7 -- NATIONAL COTTON CANDY DAY
Tom's Urban at New York-New York is celebrating National Cotton Candy Day with their gin-inspired cocktail, Eye Candy. The cocktail is made with Bombay Sapphire Gin, St. Germain, citrus sour, yuzu juice, shaken and served over a mountain of blue cotton candy.
DEC. 9 -- NATIONAL PASTRY DAY
Cafe Americano's continental breakfast features fresh baked pastries with seasonal fruit, organic yogurt and housemade marmalade ($20).
Enjoy Monkey Bread ($5) on National Pastry Day at Kitchen Table in Henderson or try their gluten-free sweet bread with jam, biscut with jam or a muffin ($3 each).
DEC. 17 -- NATIONAL MAPLE SYRUP DAY
Cafe Americano at Caesars Palace uses bourbon-infused maple syrup on its Chicken & Waffles ($36).
DEC. 20 -- NATIONAL SANGRIA DAY
Kitchen Table Squared is offering $21 pitchers of white or red sangria on Dec. 20.
Celebrate National Sangria Day on Dec. 20 at Kitchen Table with their Sparkling White Wine Sangria Spritzer ($8) or Sparkling Red Wine Sangria Spritzer ($8).
