Cinco de Mayo, or the fifth of May, is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over Franck at the Battle of Puebl during the Franco-Mexican War. There wil be multiple Cinco de Mayo celebrations throughout the valley this weekend.

A Mariachi band and Folklorico dancers will entertain guests under the dome and bring the festivities inside as they parade through the Plaza’s casino floor. A DJ will also be at the dome party spinning top radio hits with a mix of Latin music. Two stages will feature live entertainment by Mexico Vivo, the Randy Anderson band, Crush, the Claudine Castro band and mariachi Herencia De Las Vegas, as well as local dancers. In addition, there will be a classic car show featuring more than 100 hot rods plus bikes and pedal cars. Proceeds of show will benefit People Autism Foundation.

Instructors will craft playlists by Latin artists, choreographed to a 45-minute workout, while riders are encouraged to cycle in Cinco de Mayo gear. Classes will be offered on Saturday, May 5 starting at 8, 9 and 10 a.m.
