The annual Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival is taking place this weekend at Clark County Library.
The festival will feature a variety of activities celebrating comic book culture, including panel discussions, workshops, a vendor marketplace, artist alley, food trucks, crafts for kids, live music, film screenings and more.
This year's guests include: James Robinson (Scarlet Witch, Starman), J. H. Williams III (Promethea, The Sandman Overture, Batwoman), Scott Koblish (Deadpool, X-Men), Amy Chu (Poison Ivy, Girls Night Out: Tales of New York), Jason Copland (Kill All Monsters, Pop), Jay Edidin & Miles Stokes (Jay & Miles X-plain the X-Men), Spencer Brinkerhoff III (StudioB3), Deb Aoki (MangaComicsManga.com), Betsy Gomez (She Changed Comics, CBLDF), Professor Ben Saunders and the musical styling of The Velveteen Band , plus a special screening of the documentary, Neil Gaiman: Dream Dangerously.
The festival is taking place 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5. General admission is free. Anyone who donates $7 to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Foundation will receive a VIP badge and a swag bag.
