Try a slice at the inaugural Las Vegas Pizza Festival

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Pizza lovers are invited to take a bite at the inaugural Las Vegas Pizza Festival on Nov. 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Industrial Event Space (2330 Industrial Road).

The festival will feature unlimited sample slices from 20 of the finest pizza makers in Las Vegas.

The event is in partnership with the Las Vegas Pizza Alliance, participating pizzerias include Good Pie, Pizza Rock, Metro Pizza, Old School Pizzeria, Pizzeria Monzu, Dom DeMarco's Pizzeria & Bar, Brooklyn's Best Pizza & Pasta, Pop Up Pizza, Naked City Pizza Shop, Flour & Barley, Mama Napoli Pizza, Yukon Pizza, Those Guys Pies, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana, Amore Taste of Chicago, Carmine's Pizza Kitchen, bBd's Beers, Burgers, Desserts and Ada's.

Three-time World Pizza Champion and 2019 Caputo Cup Champion Laura Meyer of Pizza Rock will join Nicole Bean of Pizaro's Pizza in Houston and Audrey Kelly of Audrey Jane's Pizza Garage in Boulder, Colorado, to present a special "Women in Pizza" booth.

Each pizza chef will showcase their unique signature style of handcrafted pie, from classic Sicilian and Grandma to modern Detroit, New York, Chicago and more, along with gluten-free and vegetarian varieties.

"Pizza is the universal food that truly brings people together in a way no other food can and we want to continue building this community on a local, authentic level through this festival," said Vince Rotolo from Good Pie.

Scott Wiener, star of Thrillist's original video series "Really Dough" and founder of Scott's Pizza Tours and hunger relief organization Slice Out Hunger, will serve as emcee, while other guest stars include 10-time World Pizza Champion and winner of Food Network's "Chopped: Pizza Poetry" Nino Coniglio, three-time World Pizza Champion Derek Sanchez and pizza tossing world champion Scott Volpe.

Tickets are $45 GA per person or $50 for GA adult and one child under eight years old. VIP tickets are $85 and include early entry at 12 p.m., complimentary beer and wine and additional culinary bites in the VIP lounge. Tickets are on sale now at vegaspizzafest.com.
