The Killers, who got their start in Las Vegas, are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their sophomore album Sam's Town with a vinyl reissue and a 2-day extravaganza at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall.

Sam's Town, a heartfelt love letter to their hometown, was released in 2006. It became a RIAA platinum hit upon release, spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 and spawned hit singles When You Were Young (which was nominated for two Grammy awards) and Read My Mind.

Produced by Flood (U2's The Joshua Tree, Depeche Mode's Songs of Faith and Devotion) and Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream, Nine Inch Nails' The Fragile) and accompanied by imagery by photographer Anton Corbijn, who shot the cover of U2's The Joshua Tree, Sam's Town found The Killers adding a Springsteen-inspired Americana influence to their modern New Wave sound and catapulted them to headline status at venues like Madison Square Garden and festivals including Glastonbury and Coachella. Rolling Stone readers recently named Sam's Town the most underrated album of the last 10 years.

The two-day extravaganza on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 will feature concerts on both nights and an expert-led tour of The Killer's Las Vegas (iconic spots in the band's musical history).

Concert tickets will be available for pre-sale to members of The Killers' fan club on Aug. 3 and to everyone on Aug. 5. Travel packages will be available for purchase along with VIP experiences that include a private two-song show before the evening's main concert. Tickets are priced at $99.50 for general admission and $449 for VIP.

The expert-led tour will also cost $99.

The Sam's Town vinyl reissue is available for pre-order now via Bong Load Records for release this Fall, click here to pre-order. The fully re-mastered double LP will feature two bonus tracks -- never before released Sam's Town era demo "Peace of Mind" and "Read My Mind (Pet Shop Boys Stars are Blazing Mix)." The sequentially numbered records are limited to 5,016 copies and will include a special edition, coffee table book-style booklet reflecting on the 10th anniversary of the album.

The Killers was formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards) and Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals). The other two members are Mark Stoermer (bass) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums). The band is considered the most successful rock act ever to emerge from the state of Nevada and has sold approximately 22 million albums worldwide. They have performed in more than 50 countries and on six continents.
