RiSE Lantern Festival returns to the Mojave Desert on Oct. 4-5. The event takes place just 25 miles south of Las Vegas near the Jean Dry Lake Bed.
Launched in 2014 near Las Vegas, RiSE is currently the largest lantern event in the world, with events also planned for Australia and Dubai. Each year, more than 25,000 guests come together to witness an awe-inspiring release of paper sky lanterns. The festival begins mid-afternoon, when participants gather to listen to live musical acts and indulge in a variety of food and beverage offerings. Later, under moonlight, guests release their personalized lanterns simultaneously, signifying a collective intention for our individual hopes and dreams. In keeping with its commitment to sustainability, all RiSE lanterns are 100% biodegradable and are collected and property disposed of, along with any other area litter, by RiSE event staff.
