If you have been around Las Vegas for any length of time, you might remember Peter Piper Pizza in Las Vegas.
It's been gone for a while now but the restaurant chain is back and they are opening two locations.
The first location to open (Dec. 1) is located near Decatur Boulevard and Sahara Avenue. It is part of an existing shopping mall. The second location will be a freestanding building at 6081 S. Eastern Avenue near Patrick Lane. It will open sometime in late December.
Peter Piper Pizza got its start in 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona. Most locations feature a large game room filled with video games and classic games. Tokens must be purchased to play the games and many of the games produce tickets that can be redeemed for prizes.
If it sounds like Chuck E. Cheese to you, they are definitely very similar. In fact, Chuck E. Cheese actually bought the older Peter Piper Pizza in 2014.
Since then, the pizza chain has redesigned its logo and its restaurants.
The interior of the restaurants are bright and open and designed to appeal to young families. The restaurants have three distinct areas -- a dining area feature large round tables and booths, a large room featuring rows of tables for large parties, and the game room. One unique feature of the restaurants is the viewing windows that allow customers watch the pizza dough being made in the restaurants.
Both of the new restaurants will offer pizza, pasta, chicken wings, salad and more. They will also offer beer and wine for adults. In addition, both restaurants will offer a special area for customers to pick up to-go orders. Peter Piper Pizza says that 25 percent of its business is carryout.
Hours for the Decatur location are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays.
