Pawn Plaza in downtown Las Vegas celebrating first anniversary

Pawn Plaza, located next door to the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop on Las Vegas Boulevard, is celebrating its first anniversary during the month of October. 

Stars from the hit reality show "Pawn Stars," which is based on the pawn shop, will appear at a special celebration on beginning at 4 p.m. Oct. 8. Stars include Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison, Chumlee and Antwuan. Rick's Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern will offer a special beer flight that day for $25 and Rick Harrison will be behind the bar starting at 8 p.m. A local band named The District will perform on the patio from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m.

One lucky couple will also get married at Pawn Plaza on Oct. 8 and Rick Harrison will bear witness to their wedding ceremony or vow renewal. The ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $99 and includes the ceremony, three 5x7 photographs and a champagne toast by Harrison. The BodySpa & Salon will host 50 Shades of Pink, a fundraiser for the local chapter of Making Strides in the Fight Against Breast Cancer on Oct. 18. The event will feature a cut-a-thon from noon to 5 p.m. Manicures, pedicures and nail art will also be available.

In addition, a fashion show by Pin Up Fashions and Pawn Plaza tenant Rockabilly Girl will take place on the 2nd floor starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 and So-Cal Speed Shop will have hot rods on display in the plaza's parking lot. Corey Harrison and Chumlee will also be at the plaza for a meet and greet with fans.

Other specials and events during the month include:

  • Happy Hour specials every day from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close. $5 craft drafts, $4 wines and champagne, $4 well drinks and $8 signature cocktails.
  • Rick's Macallan Flight featuring Rick's favorite whiskey for $45
  • $2 mystery shots and $3 12 oz. or $5 16 oz. "beer-in-a-bag" all day every day
  • Karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m. every Tuesday
  • Comedy from 8 to 10 p.m. every Wednesday with local comics
  • Industry Sunday Funday
  • $3 regular cone of cup of custard (plus tax) at Rita's Italian Ice
