Painting classes, usually with alcohol and sometimes food involved, have become quite popular in recent years. They are often described as the perfect activity for date nights, a night out with the gals, an evening with friends, or even a way to bond with coworkers.
The classes or parties quickly became popular because they offer something different, affordable and enjoyable to do and a "souvenir" to take home.
There are several places that offer classes or parties throughout the valley, including a brand-new one at The Park on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Park outside of T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip hosts Palette Serenade the last Wednesday of every month from 6 to 9 p.m. The lively event fuses painting, music, dining and drinking. Guests enjoy step-by-step painting instruction to create artworks in a specific theme while socializing and enjoying live music. Set up in front of theatrical sushi hotspot Sake Rok, guests can soak in the surrounding landscape while working on their masterpieces. For $25, painters receive art supplies and the opportunity to take their artwork home that night.
The Silverton hotel-casino is hosting a Picture Perfect Paint Night on July 29. Create a one-of-a-kind painting with a step-by-step process with a local artist. Paint, canvas, brushes and aprons will be provided. Cost is $15.
Design & Dine offers a variety of classes monthly at three locations, including classes for kids and cosmic painting. The 2.5-hour classes for adults are usually about $35. The 2-hour classes for kids are usually $19. Titles of paintings in upcoming classes include "Chasing Dreams," "Blue Poppies," "Swaying Branches" and "Thoughtful Nights."
No experience is necessary at Paint and Party Las Vegas on Eastern Avenue. Each party painter can select the painting they want to paint, and a studio artist will provide help and guidance. Also, individuals are welcome as are pairs or groups. Also, painters are invited to bring snacks and refreshments to enjoy. Cost is $30 for adults, $20 for kids 17 and under.

Wine & Canvas in Henderson offers a bottomless mimosa option on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $10 extra. Upcoming paint titles include "Cherry Blossom Reflection," "A Magical Starry Night," and "Balloons in Paris." The studio also offers family fun days, paint your pet events, cookies & canvas classes and open studio. Wine & Canvas also holds events at locations other than its studios. There are 2 locations in the valley.
Pinot's Palette has 2 locations in the Las Vegas valley -- Boca Park and Henderson. Pinot's Palette claims to have the largest wine and beer selection of any paint and stip studio in Las Vegas. The classes are 2 or 3 hours long for adults and prices at $39 and $45 respectively. They also host open studio dates ($20), family events (usually $25), specialty paintings ($30-$49) and project pet ($65). Costs do not include beverages.
Paint Party Night hosts events at suitable bars and restaurants around the valley and in its own studio. Some regular locations include Old School Brewing, Blue Ox Tavern and Nacho Daddy Summerlin. You can even bring your own bottle to their studio. Most parties are $30 and typical parties are 2 hours long.
Paint Nite hosts multiple events around the Las Vegas valley, including Shucks Tavern on West Flamingo, PT's Gold in North Las Vegas, Joe's Crab Shack in Henderson, Badlands Golf Club and Via Brasil. Paint Nites are 2 hours long and no experience is necessary. Cost is usually $45 per class.
Vegas Painting Parties also hosts parties at various locations around the valley. Locations include Sammy's Restaurant & Bar, TGI Friday's at Sam's Town, Mimi's Cafe in Henderson and Elixir. Cost is $35 for every party and includes all supplies, paints, brushes and canvas.
