O’Sheas celebrates 30th anniversary with 30 days of special deals, events

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Irish-themed casino O’Sheas at The LINQ is celebrating its 30th anniversary all next month with 30 days of drink specials and events in September.

The casino originally opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1989 before moving to The LINQ more than five years ago. It was one of the first tenants to debut in the Promenade.

Starting on Sept. 1, O’Sheas will celebrate "30 days of shenanigans" with month-long drink specials, new weekly events, daily entertainment and a Grand Finale blowout bash on Sept. 28.

From Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, O’Sheas will feature live bands like Evenflow, Roxy Gunn Project, Flannel Channel and more, daily beginning at 7 p.m. DJs will then take over and keep the party going all night long.

It will also feature month-long drink specials such as $3 birthday shots made with Jameson and peach schnapps, $3 Murphy's Irish Stout and other Jameson and cocktail specials.

The 30 days of shenanigans also introduces two new weekly events—beer pong tournaments on Thursdays and St. Patrick’s Day Fridays.

Think you got game?

Beginning Sept. 5, join in and cheer on weekly beer pong tournaments. Sign-up begins at noon on the day of, with tournaments starting at 4 p.m. Teams of two are $30, and one-time re-buys are $20 per team. The first-place team wins $200; winner takes all. Beginning Sept. 6, every Friday throughout the month will go green with St. Patrick’s Day Fridays. Brian “Lucky” Thomas, the face of O’Sheas for nearly 15 years, will host games, trivia and raffles. The festivities begin at 4 p.m. Don’t forget to wear your green!

On Saturday, Sept. 28, O’Sheas will host a 30th Grand Finale birthday bash with famous friends, games, live bands and more. Games like Wheel of Destiny, Rapid Fire Beer Pong, flip cup and more begin that day at 4 p.m., with a green carpet, toast and Darby O’Gill and Flannel Channel performing throughout the night.

The 5,000 square-foot space houses 13 table games, 15 video poker spaces, beer pong tables, and three bars – Lucky Bar, Dublin Up Bar and the outdoor Blarney Bar. With value-priced drinks available all day long, including the house specialty, the whiskey-infused Irish Margarita, $3 draft beers, Lucky Hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with $15 pitchers and daily drink specials, O’Sheas is and has been the most beloved Irish-themed casino and bars on the Las Vegas Strip for the past 30 years.
