New residents at The Park on Las Vegas Strip

There are some rather interesting people hanging out at The Park on the Las Vegas Strip nowadays.

They aren't real people though. They are LEGO people.

The LEGO brick sculptures are part of a one-of-a-kind art installation by renowned artist Nathan Sawaya. The installation is appropriately named "Park People" and features large-scale monochromatic human figures crafted entirely from LEGO bricks and situated curiously on elegant wooden benches. They are strategically placed around The Park, which is MGM Resort International's newly opened outdoor dining and entertainment district near the T-Mobile Arena.

Award-winning artist Sawaya began his professional career as a corporate lawyer, but after years of mergers and acquisitions, he decided to pursue his artistic passion full time and became the first contemporary artist to use the popular toy as an art medium. His success quickly took off and his exhibitions have broken attendance records around the world, inspiring both adults and children alike to interact and admire his playful pieces.

The installation will be on display through Dec. 30 at The Park.
