National Bloody Mary Day in Las Vegas | 2020

New Year’s Day is also known as National Bloody Mary Day.

Here are some great Bloody Marys in Las Vegas and some recipes from Ketel One if you prefer to make them at home.

Carson Kitchen in downtown Las Vegas offers a Bloody Mary named That’s My Jam. It is made with house-made bacon jam vodka, house Bloody Mary mix, fresh lime, and Everything Bagel seasoning. The glass is rimmed with Tajin. Cost is $12 each. Traditionally only offered on Sunday, Carson Kitchen is also serving up New Year’s Day brunch to ring in the new year.

PT’s Wings & Sports at The STRAT will celebrate new beginnings with its iconic bloody mary, the Towering Mary. The breakfast cocktail is made with Absolut Citron vodka and bloody mary mix, topped with pepperoni, cheddar cheese, olives, celery, bacon and a TWO chicken wings (image shown).

All day at PT’s Taverns throughout Las Vegas, Tito’s Bloody Marys will be $3 to ring in the new year.

Freedom Beat inside the Downtown Grand offers bottomless Bloody Marys for $14 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

Osteria Fiorellaat Red Rock hotel-casino is featuring their Bloody Mary called the Fiorella Red Snapper on Jan. 1. It is made with house-blended tomato juice, Castravatrano olive juice, lemon and lime juice, Fire Water bitters and salt and pepper. It is garnished with a cherry tomato, pepperoni, olive, cucumber and freshly-grated horseradish.

The Bloody Mary at Sickies Garage at Town Square is made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and topped with an onion ring, grilled cheese, a traditional wing, rib tip, bacon, hot pickled egg, green olive, pickle and a lime wedge. It also comes with a house beer chases.

Sparrow + Wolf in Chinatown is offering a New Year’s Day Hangover Brunch Kit featuring their Bloody Hanako-San made with Sobieski vodka; a fresh baked loaf of sourdough bread; assorted charcuterie; a wheel of cheese; a jar of house made seasonal pickles; take-and-bake duck confit cinnamon rolls with foie gras frosting; a jar of muhammara spread; a jar of Turkish hummus; and a bag of puffed naan chips. Cost is $75. Call 702-790-2147 to order.

And if you prefer to celebrate National Bloody Mary Day at home, Ketel One can help you with that. They are sharing three of their favorite recipes.

The Marvelous Mary is a classic take on the cocktail with a marvelous twist. The secret here is to combine Ketel One Vodka with tomato juice, lemon juice, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt. You can top it off with a cucumber ribbon for garnish!

Marvelous Mary
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka

  • 5 oz Tomato Juice
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • 5 Drops Hot Sauce
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • Garnish with Cucumber Ribbon

Method: Take a clean Highball Glass, add your ingredients over ice, finish with a ribbon, and serve!

If you’re looking for a fresh green kick to your Bloody Mary, try Ketel One’s Green Mary. We’re adding pineapple juice, coriander leaves, mint leaves, jalapeno slices, apple cider vinegar, and agave syrup to the mix. Add a half moon and mint bouquet to complete this marvelous mixture

Green Mary
Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka
  • 5 oz Pineapple juice
  • 1 stalk of coriander leaves
  • 1 stalk of mint leaves
  • 3-4 Jalapeno slices
  • .24 oz apple cider vinegar
  • .15 oz agave syrup
  • Garnish with half-moon & mint bouquet

Method: Take a clean Highball Glass, add your ingredients over ice, finish with a ribbon, and serve!

Looking to spice things up a bit? Try Ketel One’s Farmers Market Mary, which includes cayenne pepper and dried chili flakes. Swap out traditional tomato juice for equal parts carrot and apple juice for a complete orange look, and bright, vegetal taste. Top it off with orange sunshine and a carrot ribbon for garnish.

Farmers Market Mary
Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Ketel One Vodka
  • 5 oz equal parts Carrot & Apple Juice
  • 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Orange
  • 1 pinch of Rock Salt, Pepper, Cayenne Pepper and Dried Chili Flakes
  • .5 tsp Tamarind
  • .5 tsp Ginger Paste
  • Garnish with Orange Sunshine and Carrot Ribbon

Method: Take a clean Highball Glass, add your ingredients over ice, finish with a ribbon, and serve!
