Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto raised his glass and yelled “Kanpai” as he officially welcomed Morimoto Las Vegas to MGM Grand on Nov. 3.
The grand opening celebration featured a lion dance parade throughout the resort, Chef Morimoto's deconstruction of a 132-pound tuna, the making of a 100-foot maki roll and an energetic party featuring Japanese delicacies.
Special guests included MGM Grand President & COO Scott Sibella, MGM Resorts International Chief Operating Officer Corey Sanders and MGM Grand VP of F&B Jason Shkorupa.
Morimoto Las Vegas at the MGM Grand is open 5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The restaurant's inspired cuisine includes Hamachi Tacos, Panfried Pork Gyoza, Tuna Pizzas and a boundless lineup of fresh sashimi and sushi rolls. The restaurant's original cocktails are infused with Japanese spirits.
