The three-day Life is Beautiful festival gets underway Friday in downtown Las Vegas.
Besides the dozens of musical performers, the festival is also known for food and art.
One of the artists whose work will be on display is local artist Tahoe Mack. She created a life-size Columbian Mammoth named Mimi Lu. The mammoth was constructed using trash that was collected at Tule Springs at Floyd Lamb Park.

This is the 7th year for the event and it is expected to bring more people than ever to the downtown area. It will also bring a lot of money to the valley, over $40 million.
Because of the size of the music, art and food festival, there will be multiple road closures in the downtown area.
Nine parking lots in the area will be closed, including the ones at El Cortez hotel-casino, the Downtowner, Place on 7th and the post office.
