Lee Canyon announced it is extending its summer season through Sept. 13.

Traditionally, Labor Day concludes the resort's summer operations. Summer hours are Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., though Lee Canyon will be open on Labor Day, Sept. 7.

Lee Canyon's base operations are at 8,510 above sea level, so visitors can expect temperatures are up to 30 degrees cooler than the valley and should dress accordingly. Summer activities include disc golf, hiking, scenic chairlift rides, archery, and skateboarding. The deck at Hillside Lodge will be open, along with Lee Canyon's coffeehouse, Brewin Burro.

Guests can also enjoy Bighorn Grill's full summer menu; all dining will be on the patio, where guests can enjoy the changing of the seasons.

Lee Canyon's winter season opening day is slated for Dec. 4, weather permitting.
