Free and Frugal Events This Weekend In Las Vegas

This weekend is full of celebrations and fabulous events. Plus, prom season is around the corner and I have found a great way to score an  amazing deal on a gown while helping the local community.
 
Gown Town
Saturday, February 27th 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Town Square
Local nonprofit HELP of Southern Nevada and 98.5 KLUC are te a.m.ing up for the annual Gown Town event on North Main Street. Gown Town provides needy high school students with an affordable alternative to prom dress shopping by offering donated formal gowns for just $20 each. The event will also feature giveaways as well as makeup and hair tips from beauty professionals. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will benefit HELP of Southern Nevada.
 
Divas Day Out
Saturday, February 27th 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
South Point Hotel and Casino
Explore over 175 businesses that have everything a Diva could need! Enjoy live performances from some of today’s hottest stars and the most talked about shows on the Las Vegas Strip like Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas and Thunder From Down Under.
 
Heart and Soul

Henderson Events Plaza
In honor of Black History Month, the City of Henderson's Cultural Arts & Tourism Department presents "Heart & Soul: A Celebration of Gospel and Black History Event activities include: African- a.m.erican art exhibits, cultural dance performances, food concessions, merchandise booths and business exhibit booths.
 
Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration Storytime
Saturday, February 27th 11 a.m.
Barnes & Noble locations
At this fun-filled celebration you can pin the tail on Horton, decorate your own Cat in the Hat hat and more. Don't miss out on this fun-filled Storytime!
