Evel Pie in downtown Las Vegas will be giving out free slices of pepperoni pizza to employees of MGM Resorts International who were laid off last week.

“We realize this is a tough hit for a lot of our friends in the local community,” said Even Pie owner Branden Powers, “and we just wanted to offer something so they know that they’re not alone.”

Former employees must provide proof they have been laid off and a valid ID. In addition to the free cheese or pepperoni slice, former employees will also received a fountain drink or draft beer. Up to four family members will also receive the same deal.

The giveaway is happening from 2 to 6 p.m. April 30.

Evel Pie and sister venue The Golden Tiki also both offer ongoing 25% discounts to all teachers and first responders including Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel, with valid ID. Management reserves all rights.
