It may be a little late to start working on an amazing costume, but it's not too late to buy tickets to the Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con this weekend.

Each year, the event gives fans to opportunity to meet animators, comic book artists and writers, dress up as their favorite characters, play video games and buy cool comic-related stuff.

This year's special guests include the comic book legend Chris Claremont, comic writers Charles Soule and Scott Lobdell, comic book artists Jimmy Cheung, Phillip Tan and Tyler Kirkham, animator Rick Hoberg and Power Ranger Michael Copon.

Programming during the comic con includes an opportunity to learn how to make your own podcasts and costumes, a My Little Pony Fan Meet-up, a cosplay red carpet, signing session with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle creator Kevin Eastman, a panel discussion about Sailor Moon, Trailer Park presented by Don't Breathe, the Amazing Comic Con Game Show Experience, Super Anime Smackdown, a voice actor round table, an all-ages coloring contest and much more.

Kid's Day will be June 19. On that day, there will be festivities geared for the whole family. The special guest that day will be author, film maker and Power Rangers artist Mat Nastos. He will be offering free sketches to children ages 10 and under.

The Amazing Las Vegas Comic Con is taking place Friday through Sunday at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Paradise Road. Hours are 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. General admission tickets are $25 for Friday and Sunday and $35 for Saturday.
