Eleven local women pastry chefs will compete in this year's Dessert Before Dinner gala, the annual fundraising event benefiting the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada. This year's event will be held at Caesar's Palace on September 10 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
The chefs must incorporate this year's signature Girl Scout cookie, Caramel deLites, into an imaginative dessert which is served before the first course. Guests cast votes for their favorite concoctions, and the winning chef is announced at the end of the evening. The top three chefs receive medals.
An array of the most high-profile women in Las Vegas will be honored during the event. Each woman will receive honorary badges, selected specifically for them based on their own professional and philanthropic achievements.
Nearly 1,000 of the city's top community leaders are expected to attend this year's gala, making it one of the largest Dessert Before Dinner events to date.
The price for individual tickets is $350. Sponsor levels are available at $3,500 for Bronze, $5,000 for Silver, and $10,000 for Gold.
