LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Cox Communications donated $135,100 in protective masks to University Medical Center.
The donation comes from the James M. Cox Foundation and includes 45,000 filtered and 25,000 surgical masks for COVID-19 emergency response efforts.
A brief handoff took place recently between Cox Business Vice President Derrick Hill and UMC CEO Mason VanHouweling along with Cox technicians and UMC staff while observing social distancing guidelines.
In March, Cox donated 10,000 protective shoe covers to UMC as part of early response efforts for the Nevada COVID 19 Task Force.
