Grand Canyon Development Partners has teamed up with OS Construction Services, Inc. to kick off construction of Evora, a 42-acre mixed-use development at South Buffalo Drive and West Patrick Lane.

The master plan comprises 1,343 residential units, approximately 240,000 square feet of commercial space, subterranean parking and resort-style amenities.

The initial phase of construction will activate the site by offering a 1.5-acre public plaza with a performance pavilion, a unique combination of restaurants, neighborhood retail, office space with views of the Strip and mountains, in an effort to create a long-lasting community in the heart of the southwest, while featuring a “Live, Work, Play” experience.

President of Grand Canyon Development Partners Sam Nicholson stated that Evora has an expected completion date of September 2021.

As part of the Oct. 15 groundbreaking ceremony, Grand Canyon Development Partners, OS Construction Services and Evora owner Joe Sorge pitched in to show support of one of Las Vegas’ most beloved non-profit organizations, Opportunity Village.

The businesses presented a $9,000 check to help fund operations of Betty’s Village, an affordable and inclusive residential community adjacent to Opportunity Village’s Ralph & Betty Engelstad campus that is slated to open in May 2021.

Currently under construction, Betty’s Village will be a haven for people of all abilities, promoting socialization, connection and enrichment of resident independence. The 6.7-acre gated community with the capability of housing up to 82 residents will provide on-site security and 24-hour assistance to meet the varying needs of residents.

Betty’s Village will also include a 16,000 square foot resident clubhouse with a gym, business center and resident lounge for community recreational activities.
