Clark County Poet Laureate and Henderson Libraries are collaborating to bring the community free Make-Your-Own-Zine Kits.
Zines are small DIY booklets in which you can write poetry. These free kits include washi tape, scissors, fancy pens, a ruler, glue and decorative paper.
These kits are limited and will be distributed first-come first-served.
The kits will be available at the Green Valley Library near Green Valley Parkway and Sunset. Please call 702-207-4260 to schedule a curbside pickup.
Once you've made a Zine, you can share your work on Instagram with the hashtag #NVZines.
Community members may also join the Clark County Poet Laureate Heather Lang-Cassera and Henderson Librarian Emilee Wirshing for the following online events during which you can share your zine creations:
- Show and Zine (All Ages) Video Call on Oct. 3 at 10 a.m.
- Come As You Zine Video Call on Oct. 3 at 12 p.m.
