CHRISTMAS EVE OVERNIGHT FORECAST:

7-DAY PLANNER:

Meteorologist Gina Cancelierre has the full holiday forecast reporting from a beautiful home in Boulder City. Watch in the player above.

ABOUT THE HOME

The Christmas house in Boulder City featured in Cancelierre's weather forecast belongs to Dyanah and Dale Musgrave.

The Musgraves say visitors are welcome to check it out and their home will be open until New Year's Eve.

Last year, the couple says they had around 23,500 people visit the house.

They have been doing the impressive display for 16 years. In 2016, the home won the ABC Great Light Fight.

Watch the interview with Dyanah and Dale Musgrave:

Dale Musgrave says it takes around 600 hours to put up the display and that he adds something new every year. The work begins in August with Dale repainting lights by hand.

This year, the family says their display is in honor of A.C. Gilbert, an inventor known for making the educational toy known as the Erector Set. It was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame in 1998.

According to the A.C. Gilbert Heritage Society, Gilbert argued against a toy production ban in 1918 to support the war effort and was given the nickname “The man who saved Christmas.”

Dale says his new additions to the house this year are a 1953 American Flyer Set and a 1954 Erector Set -- both by A.C. Gilbert.

The Musgrave home is located on 5th Street and Nevada Way in Boulder City.
