Challenger Little League of Southern Nevada kicked off their season Saturday.
The league enables children from ages 4 to 18 with mental or physical disabilities to enjoy the game of baseball.
7 different teams in the valley will play at the Myron Leavitt Jaycee Family Park near Sahara Avenue and Atlantic Street. The park was recently modfiied with ADA-accessible dugouts and baseball diamonds.
"It's heartwarming and touching to see the children with disabilities play America's past time which is baseball," said Tom Taycher, with the Challenger Little League.
