June 1st is Global Running Day! Challenge yourself to run farther and faster with one of the following fun runs happening around the Las Vegas valley:

Glow Worm 5k Fun Run -- June 18
Racers will light up the Equestrian Trail in Henderson with glow-in-the-dark attire. The first 350 participants are guaranteed a t-shirt and glow-in-the-dark swag.

Ulti-Man 5k -- July 9
Designed for runners and walkers of all fitness levels, this 5k includes three UFC GYM fitness stations along the course. Part of the proceeds support the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department K9 Unit.

Ultimate Wine Run -- August 27
What fun is exercise without a little indulgence? 5k runners will receive a glass of wine and a customized medal at the finish line while 1k walkers have the option to partake in 4 wine tasting stations along the race route.

Tough Mudder -- October 29-30
This course has earned a reputation for being one of the grittiest mud runs around. Racers should be prepared to dash through electric wires and submerge themselves in ice-cold waters in this 12-mile military-inspired obstacle course.

Ragnar Relay -- November 4-5
Time for a road trip. Each team in this 200(ish) mile relay race consists of 12 runners in 2 vans. Runners take turns on the course while the vans provide water and snacks along the way.

Rock n' Roll Marathon -- November 12-13
This nighttime running event takes runners through the closed lanes of the Las Vegas Strip and past iconic Las Vegas sights. Live local bands and DJs will perform throughout the course. Can't do a marathon? The race also has half-marathon, 10k, and 5k options.
