Paul Mitchell The School Las Vegas joined thousands of beauty salons across the nation by opening their doors to cancer patients and survivors and providing free haircuts and styling.
Tuesday was Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day. Stylists volunteered their time to treat the cancer patients and survivors.
One woman came to get her hair done because during her years of treatment, she lost her hair. She just recently began to grow it back.
"People would look at your like you're a freak or something," says Yvonna Moore. "For people who have been through a lot in their life and are fighters or survivors, it's things like this that just keep them going."
The salon expects to hold the event again next year.
