Some middle school students were encouraged to make some new friends on Friday in an effort to make sure nobody feels alone.
Teachers and students at Canarelli Middle School teamed up with SilverSummit Healthplan for a new initiative called No One Eats Alone Day.
The goal at Canarelli and other campuses around the valley was to help end school isolation and bullying.
Students were encouraged to sit with someone new at lunch and play games. They also signed large banners as a "pledge" to conduct good deeds.
