Bill Noonan was sworn in as the 2017 Chairman of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce Board of Trustees at the organization’s annual Installation luncheon Thursday.
Noonan, senior vice president of Industry and Governmental Affairs for Boyd Gaming, shared his vision for the community, outlined new programs to help Chamber member businesses thrive and shared the Metro Chamber’s top priorities in the coming legislative year.
Noonan is the first chairman of the chamber from the gaming industry in nearly two decades. He has an extensive background in municipal government management, serving as city manager of the city of Las Vegas from 1991-1993 and holding similar positions in cities around Florida.
Noonan was recognized as the Casino Management Association’s Gaming Professional of the Year in 2000. He was also recognized as Public Administrator of the Year by Nevada Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration in 1992.
