The Las Vegas Monorail is getting closer to becoming a mile longer.
Clark County Commissioners voted Wednesday to allow the monorail company to pull money from investment earning to kick start its expansion.
A spokesperson says $1.9 million will be used to secure a design and price.
The extension to Mandalay Bay hotel-casino is likely to include a new station and two new trains.
