While Black Friday might get much of the holiday shopping hype, Small Business Saturday has been growing over the past several years.
There are events and specials around the valley for the day, Nov. 26.
CITY LIGHTS GALLERY GIFT ITEMS
City Lights Art Gallery in Henderson has a new exhibit, “Member's Best," featuring the artwork of City Lights Members for the month of December. Each individually painted, photographed, molded, drawn, printed or assembled by the artists could be gift items, which are available beginning Nov. 26 in conjunction with Small Business Saturday. Enjoy a broad selection of artwork, note cards, ceramics and other items. The exhibit is from Dec. 6-31.
DOWNTOWN CONTAINER PARK
Downtown Container Park will celebrate Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26 with Santa’s arrival, live entertainment, all-day deals throughout the park, and $500 worth of Container Park Cash giveaways.
Santa will arrive at Downtown Container Park at noon and stay until 5 p.m.
Starting at 2 p.m. Container Park will host a family-friendly, holiday-themed edition of Cookies & Canvas. Those interested in participating can sign up in advance at wineandcanvas.com.
From 5:30 – 11 p.m., there will be live entertainment on The Stage.
At 5 p.m., five individuals will be selected at random as winners of $100 worth of Container Park Cash. To enter for a chance to win, contestants must sign up online before 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 26, and be present at Container Park during the 5 p.m. announcement.

GOODWILL LAS VEGAS
On Saturday, Nov. 26, shoppers will receive 50 percent off of the entire store, excluding black and yellow tags. The stores will also stay open later, until 10 p.m.
