A Boulder City company is being featured on ABC's World News Tonight.
Fisher Space Pen is celebrating 70 years, with 50 years of the pens being used by NASA astronauts. The company is now run by the grandson of the original founder and its 65 employees make up to 30,000 pens a day.
World News Tonight Anchor David Muir says he wanted one of these pens as a kid, calling it a truly ingenious idea. He is featuring Fisher Space Pens as part of the show's "Made in America" segment.
The pen can function in a weightless environment, underwater, in other liquids and in extreme temperatures. About one million are sold each year.
